Program Description:

Sharif Rahman Conflict & the Struggle for Peace Scholarship – Dublin+Amman Students

Award: $1000

FIE is a values-driven community that is invested in making a difference. We believe everybody should be able access the life changing benefits of studying abroad. Our Sharif Rahman Scholarships give recipients the opportunity to build their own views, participate in the host culture on an authentic basis and go on an adventure while being supported.

Application requirements

  1. Submit a cover letter (500 words or less) which answers the following question: How will studying abroad with FIE help you achieve your academic, personal, or professional goals?
  2. A recommendation letter from a professor or academic advisor (this can be the same one used for the FIE program application).
  3. An essay (750 to 1000 words) which includes:
    1. Why you think it is important to study peace and conflict resolution
    2. How you plan to use your study abroad experience to influence change and make the world a better place. Consider actions you can take during and after your time abroad to impact your campus, your community, your peers or yourself.
